A Basketball court should be flat, rectangular, hard surface, free barriers.
For all courts where carried out official competitions by F.I.B.A, the dimensions of the pitch’s lines should be 28 m long and 15 m wide, measured from inside boundaries.
For all other competitions, the relevant member of F.I.B.A, such as National Federation has the authority to approve pre-existing courts, but with minimum dimensions of 26 m length and 14 m wide.
The roof or the lower barrier to open spaces should be at least 7 m. the playing area should be located at least 2 m from any object, including the benches of the teams.
All lines must be have the same color (better white), width 5 cm and visible.
The construction of basketball court is completed in two stages. The first stage considers the construction of infrastructure/Subbase and secondly the final surface. Infrastructure depends on the initial status of place and the chosen final surface.
Usually, we choose to construct an asphalt base (5-7 cm A265 closed type) or an industrial flooring. The court should be flat, with 5 to 7/1000 slope that is given on the diagonal, so that not to entrap water.
